There was carpet in my entire upstairs (4 bed) and underneath is pretty nice hardwood. Its a little darker than an oak color. Its not in bad shape at all but obviously its not perfect. There are a few spots that order drugs online could use some sanding and refinishing. My question is, how can I sand spots and refinish them without them sticking out like a sore thumb? Would it be easier/better to sand and refinish the entire upstairs? Also, can I salvage base or should I just replace it too (downstairs is getting replaced anyway)? Thanks.
